Prairie is a creative project by me, Holly Houston.

After taking a break from my ceramics business in 2018, I entered a deep period of percolation and hibernation while I tended to my children, my garden, my wellbeing and community.

I spent most of my 20’s with dirt in my hands and then I turned 30 and the universe sent me a million messages saying it was time to have gold in my hands.

So I listened. I played. Then the name Prairie came to me in a dream, and it all just came alive on its own after that.

I’m excited for the great mystery of where it will go next.
